The meaning is that the host and guests should relax and respect each other, and that the equipment in the tea room and the atmosphere of the tea ceremony should be purified.
These are known as "Rikyu's Four Rules and Seven Principles" in the tea ceremony, and when his disciple asked him to teach him the secrets of the tea ceremony, Sen no Rikyu is said to have replied with these Four Rules and Seven Principles.

Rikyu-ki is currently held at Daitokuji Temple on March 27th and 28th.
At the Omotesenke school, a memorial service for Rikyu is held one month later, on March 27th of the new calendar.
Every year on March 28th, the head of the Urasenke school holds the Rikyu Memorial Service, the largest event in the tea ceremony tradition, at the Tonarisai teahouse, with the participation of tea enthusiasts from all over the country.

Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1942
In 1949, Nishigaki Soko was ordained as a monk at the Daitoku Sodo, and later at the Sokoku Sodo.
1976: Completed master's course at Bukkyo University Graduate School
In 1978, he became the chief priest of the Mannenzan Gokuraku Zen Temple of the Daitokuji School in Kinosaki, Hyogo Prefecture.
