●A fresh wind blows through the bamboo forest (sei fu uchikurin ari)...A fresh wind blows equally over everyone and everything.
In other words, a pure wind blows through the bamboo forest. The bamboo forest has a deep, pure atmosphere that seems to sweep away the worldly thoughts of people.
This is an abbreviated version of a poem written by Zen Master Kido Chigu when he was seeing off a departing disciple. Summer clouds towering high, it looks like a row of strange peaks. A typical summer scene.
●Clouds float leisurely in the blue sky, and it is unclear whether they are moving or still, but the water appears to be flowing smoothly without a moment's rest.
●The clouds clear and the green mountains become visible (The clouds clear and the green mountains become visible)...A scene of nature where the clouds clear and the green mountains become visible.
(A Zen teaching that likens mountains to Buddha nature and clouds to worldly desires, representing the state of enlightenment where delusion has been eliminated.)
