● Mountain is mountain, water is water (yama wa kore yama mizu wa kore mizu)… Mountain is complete as mountain, water is complete as water. Each thing lives in its own right and fully expresses its existence as it is.
●Kouunryusui (flowing clouds and water)...A metaphor for acting naturally, without getting too attached to things, like clouds moving through the sky or flowing water.
It is also an analogy for something not having a fixed form, but rather changing naturally and smoothly.
"Gyōun" means clouds passing through the sky. "Ryūsui" means flowing water. It is also sometimes used as an analogy for Zen monks who travel around the country to train.

[Jufukuji Temple] Mountain name: Mount Juho, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture
Kyoto, Murasakino, belongs to the Daitokuji branch of the Rinzai sect
Founder of the Rinzai sect in the 1190s
It was converted to Zen Buddhism by Zen Master Myoan Eisai (the founder of Kenninji Temple) and became a branch temple of the Daitokuji School from the end of the Edo period to the beginning of the Meiji period.
