[Nishigaki Daido] Gokurakuji Temple, Kinosaki, Hyogo Prefecture Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1942. Became a monk in 1949 with Nishigaki Soko. Became a monk at the Daitoku-so-do, then the Sokoku-so-do. Completed a master's course at the Bukkyo University Graduate School in 1976. Became the head priest of Mannenzan Gokuraku Zen Temple of the Daitoku-ji school in Kinosaki, Hyogo Prefecture in 1978.

[Sone Kofu] Born in Awataguchi, Kyoto in 1936. Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Ceramics College (Ceramics Painting Department) in 1956 (studied ceramics under the late ceramicist Takashima Kokuraku).
In 1957, he became a ceramic artist under the late Living National Treasure Tomimoto Kenkichi. In 1973, he opened a kiln (Kofugama) in Higashiyama, Kyoto.
Trained in pottery at a pottery studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto until 1978. Moved to Fushimi, Kyoto in 1999 (explored painting through ceramic paintings of tea ceremony)
