● Is the color of the mountain not a pure body? (Sanshoku ani shojoshin ni aranai)… This is the state of enlightenment in which the appearance of the mountain itself is none other than the pure mind of the Tathagata.
Based on the latter half of a line from a poem by Su Dongpo (a poet of the Song Dynasty), "The sound of the river is as long and broad as its tongue, and the color of the mountains is surely pure and pure," the poet further emphasizes that his own heart is resonating with the colors of the mountains.
●Yamashizukana koto taiko no goshi (The mountains are as still as ancient times)…This describes the leisurely and comfortable state of mind experienced while residing in serenity in the mountains.
This phrase is taken from the phrase "The tranquility of the mountains has remained unchanged since time immemorial, and a day feels as long as a year," and describes the leisurely and comfortable feeling one experiences while residing in the mountains.
