Born in Ehime Prefecture in 1962
Graduated from the Faculty of Letters, Kyoto University in 1987
Ordained by Master Kobori Nanrei at the Ryukoin Temple, a subtemple of Daitokuji Temple
Hanging tower at Daitokuji Specialized Training Hall
He became a disciple of Takada Myoho Roshi, former head priest of the Daitokuji sect, and trained under him.
1995: Hanging tower at Nanshuji Special Training Hall
Studied under Master Tajima Sekio at Nanshuji Temple

Kyoto, Murasakino, belongs to the Daitokuji branch of the Rinzai sect
Horin-ji Temple's mountain name, Sokei-san, is said to be the successor to Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism. Since the 6th Zen master, Huineng, came to this place and explained the Buddhist teachings, the Zen sect has flourished here.
The temple's founder, Zen Master Shunrei Shoon (the 204th successor to Daito Kokushi), came to Kameoka during the Kanbun era and founded the temple, which was named Sokei-san Horin-ji Temple.
Within the mountain are the three Buddha statues of Yakushi, Amida, and Shaka, which are Important Cultural Properties (formerly National Treasures), as well as a nine-story stone stupa.
