● Tsuru wa sennen kame wa mannen (cranes live for a thousand years, turtles live for ten thousand years)… a phrase born from an old Chinese legend that says that cranes live for a thousand years and turtles live for ten thousand years.
Both cranes and turtles are considered to be auspicious animals because they both live long lives.
It is a word used to celebrate a long life, or to pray for good fortune.
In other words, it is a word used to celebrate longevity or something very auspicious.
● Shoju Sennen no Midori (pine tree, longevity, green for a thousand years)… In this ever-changing world, the pine tree, which continues to maintain its beautiful green color without being affected by the years or the seasons, is a symbol of the truth that never changes.

Born in Kyoto in 1930
In 1959, he was appointed as the chief priest of Shoshunji Temple (Funai-gun, Kyoto Prefecture) of the Daitokuji School.
In 1983, he was appointed as the head priest of the Daitokuji Temple (Kameoka City)
In 1989, the main hall, priest's quarters and temple gate of Horinji Temple were built.
2002: Shoshunji Temple main hall and gate were built.
In 2004, I handed over the head priest of Horin-ji Temple to the next head priest and was appointed head priest of Shoshun-ji Temple again.
