●Spring arrives in the thousand forests, and the nightingales sing everywhere. (Haru wa senrin ni iri sho sho guisu)…Spring seems to have arrived in the mountain villages. The nightingales are singing their first songs everywhere.
Sotan rephrased the saying, "Spring arrives, flowers bloom everywhere in the thousand forests."
In the Omotesenke school, this scroll is hung at the first tea ceremony of the year, but also at the beginning of spring.
●The protagonist...Zuigan Osho
The Zen word "protagonist" was born from the fact that one would call out to oneself, "Hey, protagonist (yourself). Are you awake?" and then answer the question oneself.
●Dream...Things that do not actually exist in the outside world are likened to dreams.
A state in which one is free from all attachments and forgets enlightenment, knowledge, and honor.
It is also interpreted as symbolizing the vanity and transience of everything, including life itself.
In Buddhism, as expressed in the verse "Iroi wa Uta" ("Beautiful, fragrant flowers will eventually wither and fall"), the Diamond Sutra teaches that all phenomena in the world are temporary and insubstantial, and that like an illusion, nothing remains the same for a long time.
●Snow, moon and flowers (Setsugetsuka / Yukitsukihana)...Snow, moon and flowers. Beautiful scenery in the four seasons.
