Born in 1917
From around 1950, he was involved in investigating the Karatsu ancient kiln ruins for approximately 18 years.
In 1971, under the guidance of Fujio Koyama, he opened the Kojiro kiln, a split-bamboo climbing kiln.
1976: Opened Koju Kiln under the guidance of Toyozo Arakawa
Reproduced mottled Karatsu and Umehanakawa Karatsu, and was recognized as a leading figure in modern Karatsu ware.
In 1989, the Kaga Karatsu Tatsunoguchi kiln was opened in Ishikawa Prefecture.
Died in 2006 at age 89
