Founded in 1913 by the 12th Kimura's son, Kimura Shoji. Kimura Sohonke Korakuen. Son of the 12th Kimura Chojuro Tomoaki. [Kimura Toho (real name Tsuyoshi)] Toshoen.
Born in 1937 in the Toshoen family of the Kimura family, a kiln owner of six families in Okayama Prefecture. While studying law at Chuo University, he followed in his father's footsteps and devoted himself to the family business. In 1962, he became the second generation to take over as president of the Okayama Prefecture Bizen Pottery Friends Association and Vice President of the Okayama Prefecture Bizen Ceramic Art Museum. He joined the Nitto Geikai Association and trained many apprentices and artists. In 1959, he won the Good Design Award at the Washington International Exhibition, and has since been devoting himself to the study of pottery.
