[6th Generation Ueda Naokata (real name Mitsuharu)]
The 6th generation's products will be on sale from 2011. Born in Tachibana-cho, Yame-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1957. Studied under traditional craftsman Ogami Tsuyoshi in Tamba in 1975. Graduated from the molding course at the Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Training School in 1983. Graduated from the glaze course at the Shiga Prefectural Ceramic Research Institute in 1984. Trained under Koga Kenzo of the Koga Tea Ceremony Culture Research Institute. Received the Hideaki Cultural Foundation Award. Studied under the 5th generation Nogata and is currently concentrating on pottery making. In 2010, he took on the name Nogata 6.
