Born in 1958 as the eldest son of Shigetoshi Nakazato (the third son of the previous Nakazato Muan).
Graduated from the Arita Industrial Ceramics Department in 1976
In 1976, he helped his father build the Sangen Kiln.
In 1980, he studied under Miyagawa Kosei.
In 1987, he built a kiln in Chijika, Karatsu City.
