[Hayashi Tanyu] Gozan Kiln
Born in Kyoto in 1945 (Showa 20)
1968: Graduated from Ryukoku University's Department of Oriental History and entered the pottery world
He trained under his uncle, the second-generation master, Hayashi Maruyama.
In 1971, he opened his own pottery shop under the name Tanyu.
In 1973, the kiln was given the name "Gozan Kiln" by Master Takeda Masuyoshi, the head priest of Kenninji Temple.
1977: Studied under Master Daiki Tachibana at Nyoian Temple, Daitokuji Temple
1984 (Showa 59) Dedication to the 850th anniversary of the birth of Kawasaki Daishi (Heikenji Temple)
1991 Selected for the Tanko Biennale Contemporary Tea Ceremony Exhibition
1996 Selected for the Tanko Biennale Tea Ceremony Art Exhibition sponsored by Tankosha Publishing
