It is currently counted as one of the Seven Enshu Kilns.
The garden was named after the famous "Kagero Pond," a pond depicted in the "Illustrated Map of Famous Places along the Tokaido Road" by Japanese painter Yamamoto Shunkyo.
At the time, Kobori Enshu was the magistrate of Omi, so it is likely that Enshu provided guidance.
The "Oeyama" and "Hakuun" tea caddies are famous as tea caddies favored by Enshu.

"An old pine is a pine tree that has lived for a long time; by extension, it is a symbol of longevity and prosperity."
When a person from the capital goes to Anraku-ji Temple in Tsukushi on the orders of the god Tenjin, the spirit of an old pine tree appears and dances, telling the legend of the Flying Plum and the Chasing Pine Tree.
Titles of songs such as Tokiwazu, Tomimoto, Kiyomoto, Nagauta, and Itchubushi based on the Noh play "Oimatsu" by Zeami.
