1966: Completed Kyoto Prefectural Potter Vocational Training Institute
Studied under the first generation Kato Josui
1988: Won the Osaka Bureau of International Trade and Industry Award at the 10th Kyoyaki and Kiyomizuyaki Exhibition
1994: Awarded the 23rd Japanese Traditional Crafts Kinki Exhibition
1995: Won an award at the 24th Japanese Traditional Crafts Kinki Exhibition and held a four-person exhibition in France
In 2003, he was certified as a traditional craftsman of Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki, and his workshop was moved to Yamashiro-Taga.
Since then, he has won numerous awards at department stores and public exhibitions.
