[7th Generation Onishi Rakusai] Kohakugama (Kohakugama Akahada Yaki)
The feudal lord of Koriyama, Lord Yanagisawa, bestowed upon us the name of the kiln, "Kohakugama", and the title of "Rakusai", in order to further hone our craftsmanship and ensure the continued success of our kiln.
Born in 1958 in Yamatokoriyama City, Nara Prefecture
Graduated from Konan University in 1981. Studied under his grandfather Rakusai Godai while in school.
2005: Heisei 17th year: 7th Rakusai successor
Died in August 2005 at age 58
Received the title of Kasuga Pottery Master from Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
Vice-chairman of the Nara Prefecture Crafts Association. Director of the Nara Prefecture Art Association. Owner of Akahada Yakikohakugama Kiln.

In 1992, he studied under his grandfather, Rakusai V.
First solo exhibition held in 1998 at Kintetsu Department Store Nara
2001 Akahada Rakusai Three Generations Exhibition held at Shinjuku Keio, Kyoto Daimaru and Abeno Kintetsu Main Store
In 2017, he took on the name of the eighth Rakusai.
In 2018, the Yatsushiro Onisairakusai succession commemoration exhibition of Akahada ware by the Yatsushiro Onisairakusai
