Born in Yonago in 1942.
While studying at Nihon University, he witnessed the excavation of an old kiln and became fascinated with ceramics.
Born in Ishikawa Prefecture, he received training in the art of tea ceremony from the Saitama Prefecture potter (master craftsman), Nurishi Tansai.
In 1969, the kiln was opened at the foot of Mt. Kagami.
He served as chairman of the Karatsu Ware Cooperative Association until 2011.
The next generation will have Koji Inoue.
