Born in 1947 at a pottery studio in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture.
1967: Graduated from Tajimi Industrial Ceramics Department
In 1971, after studying under Momonosuke Ohashi, Bunichi Kobayashi, Seiji Chikada and others,
Studied under Professor Kunio Uchida in Kyoto
In 1973, he built a kiln in Hida, Mino.
At the same time, he began studying and making Shino and Oribe ware.
1983: Built an anagama kiln
Since then, he has been devoting himself to the study of Shino ware and Oribe ware.
Every year he holds a solo ceramics exhibition at department stores etc.
