●What is Adonis flower? A perennial plant native to Japan that is commonly found in the mountains and fields from Hokkaido to Honshu. It blooms with cute, bowl-shaped flowers from winter to spring.
It grows naturally under deciduous trees in the mountains and fields.
Its Japanese name means happiness and longevity, and it was given as a flower to celebrate the New Year.
It is also called "New Year's flower" or "New Year's flower" because it blooms around the time of the Lunar New Year.
Adonis flowers bloom from January to April, and is at its best in March. In particular, it is often planted together with nanten in the New Year decorations. This is because the sound of nanten means "turning away difficulties," and when combined with nanten, it means "turning difficulties into good fortune."
