Resides in Imakumano Minami, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City
Born in Himeji in 1949 (Showa 21)
He was the nephew of the master craftsman of Shimizu, Shinkutsu Kosai, and studied under Kosai.
1969: Studied under Living National Treasure Tatsuzo Shimaoka
1981 (Showa 56) Certified as a regular member of the Japan Crafts Association
1992: Recommended for the 2002 Contemporary Art Exhibition
He has been selected for many exhibitions including Japanese traditional crafts and has participated in many solo exhibitions.
