Born in Kyoto in 1958
1977: Enrolled as a ceramic artist at Kyoto College of Art and Design
After graduating from Kyoto College of Art and Design as a ceramic artist in 1979,
1979: Entered the Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Training School
After graduating from the Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Training School in 1980, he studied under Yoshihisa Nakamura.
1985: Built a kiln in Yamashina, Kyoto
From 1989, he moved his kiln to Fushimi, Kyoto, where he continues to work today.
Since then, he has been studying tea ceremony utensils.
