[(Real name: Kenji)] Shoun Kiln
Born in Izumo City in 1939
After studying Hagi-yaki and Izumo-yaki, he moved to Kyoto and studied Kyo-yaki and Goryeo tea ware.
In 1968, he opened a kiln under the name Seiwa.
1975: Built a kiln in Uji Coal Mine
In 1981, Tenryu-ji Temple's Seiko Hirata Roshi gave the inscription "Shoun" to the priest.
Certified as a traditional craftsman in 1994
