Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Keio University
Returning home in 1972
Studied under his father, Senshu, the 7th generation
1973: First selected for the Yamaguchi Prefectural Art Exhibition
In 1975, he joined the Japan Crafts Association.
In 1978, he became a part-time lecturer at Hagi Women's Junior College (until 1999).
A tour of Chinese ceramics as a member of the Hagi-yaki China Friendship Group
In 1979, he was selected for the first time for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
1988: Full member of the Japan Crafts Association
1994 Yamaguchi Prefecture Arts and Culture Promotion Encouragement Award
2003: Appointed director of the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition
2004 Hagi ware, Seiunzan, Okada kiln, 8th generation successor
In 2006, he was recognized as a holder of the Hagi ware intangible cultural property designated by Yamaguchi Prefecture.
