Born in Yokkaichi in 1905
In 1921, he studied under his elder brother, Rakuzan Shimizu.
In 1941, he became independent and opened a kiln in Hongo-cho. Since then, he has been making pottery, focusing on copying Chinese objects.
Died in November 1970
Age 65
He is the second son of the first generation Shimizu Rakuzan and the great uncle of the current Shimizu Hiroshi (Rakuzan's grandson).
