Born in 1947 in Amagasaki as the eldest son of three generations.
1972: Started pottery making at Kotoura Kiln
1982 - Selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition and the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition
Certified as a regular member of the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition in 2000
1996: 4th generation Kiriyama successor
Name succession exhibitions held in Osaka, Tokyo and other locations
In 2006, a father-son exhibition by Kiriyama and Yasuaki was held at the Daimaru Shinsaibashi store.
September 2007: Father and son exhibition held in Paris, France
March 15th to April 20th, 2008: Exhibition of the works of successive generations of Kiriyama held at the Amagasaki Museum
Oizumi Kiln (registered trademark of Kotoura Kiln)
August 2000: Established in Oizumi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture
The kiln name "Oizumigama" was bestowed by the 15th head of the Urasenke school, Grand Master Hounsai.

"An old pine is a pine tree that has lived for a long time; by extension, it is a symbol of longevity and prosperity."
When a person from the capital goes to Anraku-ji Temple in Tsukushi on the orders of the god Tenjin, the spirit of an old pine tree appears and dances, telling the legend of the Flying Plum and the Chasing Pine Tree.
Titles of songs such as Tokiwazu, Tomimoto, Kiyomoto, Nagauta, and Itchubushi based on the Noh play "Oimatsu" by Zeami.
