Born in 1946 in Koyaguchicho, Wakayama Prefecture
In 1965, he studied under the first Sutoyo (father)
In 1976, he took on the name of the second generation Sutoyo.
In 1995, the climbing kiln was moved from Katata in Shirahama-cho to Saino in the same town.
