In 1968, he became the adopted son of Eizo Hatano of Hagi and started making pottery in Hagi.
1972 Governor's Award at the Yamaguchi Prefectural Art Exhibition
Selected for the Nitten Exhibition in 1973 ~ 50 years in a row
Selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition in 1977 - Selected for the exhibition in 1988 - Continued
In 1986, he won the Excellence Award at the Tanabe Museum of Art Exhibition on Tea Ceremony.
In 1987, he received the Yamaguchi Prefecture Arts and Culture Promotion Encouragement Award.
In 2002, he was recognized as a guardian of an intangible cultural asset designated by Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Full member, Japan Crafts Association
Held numerous solo exhibitions at Kuroda Touen in Tokyo, Nihonbashi Takashimaya, Osaka Daimaru, Kyoto Takashimaya, etc.
