In 1975, he joined the Japan Crafts Association.
In 1979, he was selected for the first time for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
1988: Full member of the Japan Crafts Association
1994 Yamaguchi Prefecture Arts and Culture Promotion Encouragement Award
2003: Appointed director of the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition
2004: Hagi ware, Seiunzan, Okada kiln, 8th generation successor
