●A famous bamboo tea scoop, inscribed with the inscription "Takechashaku Mei Namida" (Takechashaku Mei Namida)...The original (real thing) was carved by Sen no Rikyu, who was ordered to commit seppuku by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in February 1591, and used it at his final tea ceremony. It was then given to Furuta Oribe, who then carved a tube with a rectangular window through which he is said to have prayed to the tea scoop as a memorial tablet.
In the "Sunpu Gobumono Godogucho" IV "Iroiro Godogucho" it says "One Rikyu tea scoop, one piece," and the inscription "tears" is not found here, but in the "Genwa Onariki," a record of the official visit of the second shogun Hidetada to the Owari residence in Edo in February 1623 (Genwa 9), it says "Tears tea scoop," and in the "Keian 4th Year Gosuki Godogucho," which was compiled when the second head of the Owari clan, Mitsutomo, inherited the inheritance from the first head, Yoshinao, it says "One tea scoop, Rikyu, tears." It is recorded in "Ganka Meibutsu-ki" and "Kokin Meibutsu Ruiju."
Owned by Furuta Oribe → Tokugawa Ieyasu (owned by the Tokugawa family) → Tokugawa Yoshinao (first head of the Owari clan)
