The shoulders are slightly rounded and the persimmon gold color appears scattered throughout the black glaze, making this a warm, soft and elegant tea caddy.
After Junkei, it was passed down to Tokugawa Ieyasu, and was received by Yoshinao, the founder of the Owari clan, and has been passed down in the same family ever since.
The original poem is currently in the collection of the Tokugawa Reimei-kai (Tokugawa Art Museum).
