●Enkou Sokugetsu (Monkey Catch the Moon)...Being greedy and not thinking about the consequences, you take reckless action and make a big mistake.
An analogy for not knowing one's own limitations and how this can lead to one's own destruction.
"Ko" means monkey. "To catch the moon" means to catch the moon.
It comes from a legend about monkeys hanging from a tree branch in an attempt to capture the moon reflected in a well, but as soon as they joined the chain the branch broke and they all fell to the bottom of the well and died.
It is read as "The monkey catches the moon."

[Nishigakidaido] Gokurakuji Temple, Kinosaki, Hyogo Prefecture
Born in Kura Prefecture in 1942.
In 1949, he was ordained as a monk by Bunzan Soko. After graduating from Japan Social Welfare University, he was appointed to the Daitoku Sodo and later the Shokoku Sodo.
In 1976, he completed his master's course at Bukkyo University Graduate School.
In 1978, he became the chief priest of Gokuraku Zenji Temple of the Daitokuji school in Kinosaki County, Hyogo Prefecture, a position he still holds today.

[Sone Yukikaze]
Born in Awataguchi, Kyoto in 1936
1956 Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Ceramic Art College (Ceramics Department)
(Studied pottery under the late potter Koura Takashima)
In 1957, he became a ceramic artist under the late Living National Treasure Tomimoto Kenkichi.
In 1973, the kiln was opened in Higashiyama, Kyoto (Kofugama).
Trained in pottery at a pottery studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto until 1978
In 1989, the kiln was moved to Fushimi, Kyoto.
