Born in Wakayama Prefecture in 1939
1957: Enrolled at Hanazono University
In 1959, he was ordained under the guidance of Daiko Furukawa.
In 1961, he built a hanging tower at the Engaku Sodo in Kamakura and studied Zen under Sogen Asahina.
In 1974, he became the chief priest of Zuiho-in, a subtemple of Daitokuji Temple.

In 1535, Otomo Sorin of Bungo established this temple as his family temple, with the 91st abbot of Daitokuji, Bishu, as its founder.
