● Shoju Sennen no Midori (pine tree, longevity, green for a thousand years)… In this ever-changing world, the pine tree, which continues to maintain its beautiful green color without being affected by the years or the seasons, is a symbol of the truth that never changes.
●Seishojushokuoshi: Pine is the representative evergreen tree and is used as a variety of symbols.
The evergreen pine tree is an auspicious color in itself. It is associated with the color "green" which is a symbol of youth and eternal youth and longevity. Naturally, pine trees are often used as decorations at celebratory occasions.
Phrases containing the word "ju" are a symbol of longevity.
In Zen language, it means that "the unchanging blue color of the pine tree is the color of longevity."
●Saihou Tansho nimau (Colorful Phoenix Dance Tanxiao)…Tansho refers to the clear red sky such as that of a sunrise or sunset, and describes auspicious scenery.
●Yamahayobu Banzai no Ko (Calling for life on the mountain): When Emperor Wu climbed the mountain and shouted in joy, praying for peace throughout the world, the whole mountain echoed with cheers. This is used on happy occasions.

[Sanzen-in] Daitokuji Temple
The temple was founded in 1579 by three people, Ishida Mitsunari, Asano Yukinaga, and Mori Tadamasa, with the founder being the Priest Shun'yaku, and is famous as the training ground for Priests Takuan and Sen Sotan.
Among the disciples of the monk Haruya were the monks Gyokumuro and Kogetsu Sogan, who fought against the evil decrees of the Tokugawa Shogunate and showed the dignity of Daitokuji to the world. It is well known that Konoe Nobutada, Kuga Atsuyuki, Furuta Oribe, Yabuuchi Kenchu, Kobori Enshu, Kuroda Nagamasa, Kuwayama Shigeharu, Seta Sobe, and Yamaoka Somuto all practiced Zen here. In addition, the graves of Ishida Mitsunari and Furuta Oribe are located here, and the teahouse is called Kouan, which was designed by Furuta Oribe.
