Born in Awataguchi, Kyoto in 1936
1956: Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Ceramic Art College (Ceramics Department)
(Studied pottery under the late potter Koura Takashima)
In 1957, he became a ceramic artist under the late Living National Treasure Tomimoto Kenkichi.
In 1973, the kiln was opened in Higashiyama, Kyoto (Kofugama).
Trained in pottery at a pottery studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto until 1978
In 1989, the kiln was moved to Fushimi, Kyoto.
(Developed painting skills through ceramic painting of tea ceremony)
