● Sitting in silence and without any worries, come spring the grass will sprout naturally (kounen shite buji ni zareba haru kitatte kusao no zukara shozu)...If you throw away all your plans and just sit in silence and meditate, you will surely one day attain enlightenment, just as grass will sprout naturally in spring.
● Flowers are mindless...Flowers have no desire to be seen or liked by people.
There is not a trace of discretion or delusional desires there.
It just keeps blooming.

Born in Kyoto in 1930
In 1959, he was appointed as the chief priest of Shoshunji Temple (Funai-gun, Kyoto Prefecture) of the Daitokuji School.
In 1983, he was appointed as the head priest of the Daitokuji Temple (Kameoka City)
In 1989, the main hall, priest's quarters and temple gate of Horinji Temple were built.
2002: Shoshunji Temple main hall and gate were built.
In 2004, I handed over the head priest of Horin-ji Temple to the next head priest and was appointed head priest of Shoshun-ji Temple again.
