● A hundred flowers bloom for whom (Hyakuka daga tame hiraku)… With the coming of spring, many flowers bloom, but for whom? The meaning behind this is that we cannot see the flowers that fill the earth.
● Picking flowers fills your clothes with their fragrance...As you pick flowers, your clothes will be enveloped in the fragrance, and your heart will become one with the flowers, leading to a refreshing state of mind.
If we think of the "scent of flowers" as a good teaching, then when we come into contact with virtue or good teachings, we are influenced without realizing it. That natural appearance is the truth of nature.
●Spring water fills all four streams (shunsuishitakunima)...This means that when spring comes, the melting snow fills all the streams, nourishing all living things.
This is the first line of "Poems of the Four Seasons" (Spring waters fill the four lakes; Summer clouds are many strange peaks; Autumn moon shines brightly; Winter mountains are beautiful fox-like pines) by Tao Yuanming, a poet of the Eastern Jin Dynasty in China.
●Spring colors are all around...The light of spring pours down without discrimination, and everything you look at is filled with the atmosphere of spring. It expresses the psychology of the mixture of equality and discrimination.
