●What is an Enpina shelf? It is a double shelf made of paulownia wood with four pillars, of which the pillar facing the living area is the only one made of three-section white bamboo.The living area has a side board carved into a bow shape and the middle board is cut diagonally towards the kitchen area, making it a small shelf with no base board.
This shelf was favored by Ennosai Tetsuchu Soshitsu, the 13th head of the Urasenke school.
It is said that it was inspired by the toy "Hajikizaru."
*Can be used with both hearths and braziers.
