●What is a Korai-joku? It is a small four-pillar shelf that is half of a Korai-daisu.
There are various types of lacquer, such as Shin-nuri, Ikkan, Seishutsumakure, Tamenuri, and made from paulownia wood.
The dimensions of both the top and bottom boards are 1 shaku 2 sun square and 1 shaku 5 sun high.
The book "Sado Sentei" states, "The Korean table, Sozen, has only Ikkanbari, and no shinuri is used. It is made by cutting a Korean daisu in half."
*Used in furnaces.
