●What is a Kashindana shelf? It is a small shelf with four lacquered pillars, a rectangular top and base board, railings on the bottom on three sides (the guest side, the kitchen side and the far side), and elbow legs on all four sides of the base board.
This shelf was favored by Genmoku Soshitsu, the 16th head of the Urasenke school, Zabosai.
*Can be used with both ro and furo.
