Kuroda Masagen is a member of the Ten Craftsmen of the Sen family (bamboo craftsman and ladle maker) who create authentic tea utensils for the Sen family.
He served as a ladle maker for the Shogunate until the Meiji Restoration.

Graduated from the Faculty of Letters, Waseda University
In 1966, he took over the name of the 13th generation.
