Houtoku Zen Temple Graduated from Hanazono University in 1962. Studied at Daitokuji Specialized Training Hall and established a hanging pagoda under Master Oda Setsudo (the 489th abbot of Daitokuji). Received the names "Kendo" and "Shosho" from Master Fujii Seido, the previous chief priest of Sanzen-in. Returned to Yagyu Houtoku-ji Temple in 1965. Became the chief priest of Houtoku-ji Temple in 1972. Designated as a Nara City Cultural Property in 1996.

Jingo-san in Nara Prefecture was founded in the 15th year of the Kanei era by Yagyu Munenori as a memorial for his late father, Sekishuusai Sogen, and was founded by the monk Takuan, who was a friend of Munenori.
Later, it also became the funeral home of successive generations of the Yagyu clan.
