●What is a Chidoriita (a plover board)? In Urasenke, it is used in the tea ceremony by the nobleman at the hearth, Kiyotsugu.
It seems that the table is made by cutting off the corners of the hearth edge (an isosceles triangle) or by using a flat tortoiseshell-shaped board to place the chidori tea towel on, and is carried in the guest's pocket when seated.
Another name for the chidori board is sometimes the uroko board, but the uroko board itself can also refer to the triangular boards installed beside the alcove in a tea room.

Material: Cedar
