[Third Generation Inoue Shunpo] 1950~
Born in Kyoto Prefecture as the eldest son of the second generation Shunho
Ceramic artist/craft artist
Graduated from Ritsumeikan University in 1974
After that, he went to Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Vocational Training School and started researching ceramics and glazes.
In 1988, he was awarded the Buddhist title of "Zaishin" by His Eminence Yukio Okuda.
In 1997, he took on the name of the 3rd generation Inoue Shunho.
Held solo exhibitions at Tokyo Mitsukoshi Art Gallery and other venues
He has studied under three generations of Urasenke masters, Kanazawa Sosui, Muneya, and Soi.
He also studied under Dr. Tokuji Yamamoto, a doctor of glass engineering.
Director of the Kyoto Traditional Craft Potters Association
Permanent Director of the Japan Sencha Crafts Association
He is a judge for the Sencha Crafts Exhibition and serves as an officer of various ceramics-related organizations in Kyoto.
