The first Shoami founded the company in 1930. In 1941, he was born in Kyoto. In 1966, he graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts and learned the trade under his master, the first Shoami. In 1980, he held a 50th anniversary exhibition with the first Shoami. In 1993, he became the second Shoami. Currently, in 2010, he is currently working at the Obaku Tosho Shoami studio in Higashiyama. He mainly creates porcelain matcha and sencha tea utensils with blue and white porcelain, auspicious porcelain, colored porcelain, and Kochi porcelain.
