● Ruiza is a decorative technique for the surface of a tea kettle, and refers to a pattern of hemispherical beads that resemble rivets lined up on the mouth and shoulders of the kettle.
There are some that are hit at equal intervals, and some that are hit repeatedly, like two, three, two, three.
The character for "擂" is written in the "Yupian" as "also a grinding tool." In China, a mortar (pestle) used to grind tea is called 擂茶, and it is said that this name comes from the studs around its neck.
