Born in 1952 in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture as the eldest son of the second Shozo.
Learned the techniques of making tea kettles from his father, the second Shozo
Received guidance from Kazue Hyoko and Koga Kenzo.
Donated a large cauldron for the "Great Tea Ceremony" at Saidaiji Temple in Nara
Donated a permanent kettle to Akishino-dera Temple in Nara and a kettle to Daitoku-ji Temple
Donated a kettle to Todaiji Temple and a kettle to Kashihara Shrine
Held exhibitions at Nomura Museum of Art and other locations.
In 2004, he took on the name Shozo III.
