●Mozu yakama: This is one of the shapes of tea ceremony kettles, with a demon face ring, two lines on the shoulder and waist, and a mortar seat between them.
It is said that Rikyu was so fond of the Tenmei style that he had Tsuji Yojiro make it and gifted it to his son-in-law, Bandaiya Soan, hence the name.
There are various types of mouth construction, such as wide mouth, ring mouth, and kurikuchi, and there are various types such as those with a Tomoe crest under the shoulder instead of a mortar, and those with a mortar on the edge of the mouth.
The original poem is said to have been written in the Tenmei period and has been handed down in the Yabuuchi family.
