What is the Kuroraku Kangetsu tea bowl? The original (authentic) version is a cylindrical tea bowl made by the famous aerial work "Kangetsu". In the center of the black glaze of the body is a large yellow glaze pattern resembling a crescent moon, which is said to have given it this name.
Kuuchuu refers to Honami Koho, the grandson of Honami Koetsu, who went by the pen name Kuuchuusai.
This tea bowl is an imitation of that one.
