Born in Kyoto in 1959 Graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Doshisha University in 1982 Completed the Kyoto City Industrial Research Institute's Traditional Industry Successor Ceramic Course in 1983 Graduated from the Kyoto Prefecture Pottery Training School Molding Department in 1984 Studied under his grandfather and father, Rakuiri Founded and presided over the Rakuiri Kiln. Received the "Jusei" seal from the monk Kumagai Ryusho of Senjoji Temple in 2000. Certified as a traditional craftsman in 2001. Succeeded as the 3rd generation Yoshimura Rakuiri of Manpukudo in 2004. Member of the Kyoto Crafts and Arts Writers Association. Part-time lecturer at Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts
