My grandfather built it in Kiyomizuzaka, Kyoto.
Born in 1944 in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture.
In 1963, he studied under his father, the second generation Shoraku.
In 1983, he inherited the third generation of Showraku.
[Kiln name: Kirai Kiln Pottery name: Kyoshitsu] Granted in 1996 by Fukutomi Setsudai Roshi, the 14th head priest of Daitokuji Temple
[Seionken] Received in 1960 from Master Oda Setso, the 11th abbot of Daitokuji Temple
In 1905, he moved from Kyoto to Higashiyama, in front of the gates of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and opened the tea kiln "Shorakugama".
Now, he has moved his kiln to the mountain village of Kameoka, northwest of Kyoto.
